Our tours were absolutely superb! We had two private group tours, one to Sintra/Nazare and the other to Fatima/Batalha/Alcobaca. Our bus was clean and comfortable, but our tour guide was the highlight of the experience. Carolina was friendly, helpful, patient with a large group including children, and obviously an expert on Portuguese history and culture. I would strongly recommend her to anyone looking for a guide in Portugal. Everyone involved in my party had a great time, and we would all do it again. Thanks again for a great experience. Dear Mr. Brito, I want to thank you and your organization so much for all of the work you did for us - from the very beginning. Rui Lopes e-mailed to me for several months planning out our itinerary. He was most helpful and did such a good job making certain that our intinerary was very complete, down to every detail. We were very please with Olivia, our tour guide. Her knowledge and background allowed her to give us so many details into the culture, history, art, and politics of Portugal. She was enthusiastic and led us to excellent restaurants, both on our tours and after the tours in Lisbon. Plus to the delight of all of the women on the trip, she know every pastries shop on our tours to suggest to us. Our two different buses were very comfortable and the drivers made us feel safe. They, too, were courteous and accommodating in every way. When we completed our three-day tour, we felt that we had really seen the country in the time allotted. I guess our only complaint, if we would classify it as a complaint, was that we saw too much. Our days were completely filled and we were exhausted by the end of each day. When Rui and I were planning the itinerary we probably didn't realize how much we packed into each day. But I must say that Olivia and the two busdrivers never skimped on anything in the daily itineraries. In fact, most of the tours lasted longer than the original time agreed upon. They all went out of their way for us. I'm not sure when I will be able to return to Portugal, but I would definitely arrange to use your company again. Firstly, I would like to thank you for making us aware of the impending nationwide strike (November 14) and then once our ship had changed the port schedule so that we would visit Porto on November 15 being so willing to schedule our tour for that date. The stops were perfectly timed from the first at the beautiful little town of Amarante to the Quinta do Tedo (winery) with tastings and the beautiful scenery. Hello Antonio, I am very pleased to be able to write a review about your service. And the best word is "fabulous". We unfortunately did not have much time in Portugal. Getting our own Mercedes limo was the ideal solution and actually when you work it out, it is quite cost effective. But the best thing about the journey was undoubtedly Bernardino our driver. He was extremely knowledgeable, spoke excellent English, had a good idea about what we would like to see and what we wouldn't, and was a very proficient driver. We very much enjoyed his company, it was more like have a friend show you around than it was like having the usual type of travel guide. I have recommended this service to many of my friends. Portugal is a beautiful country, but not many people in this part of the world think about it as a tourist destination, which I think is a big mistake. It is one of the gems of Europe. We took the Minho tour and the tour guide was just outstanding (he speaks excellent English). He went far beyond his 'duties' in his explanations which were thorough and learned. Our tour went longer than expected as he kept pointing out some further details at the Bom Jesus monastery near Braga--and this in darkness. I cannot praise him enough. By the way, we have taken about 10-15 walks and tours in Portugal and--and almost--without exception the guides have been excellent. I think this is due to the selection and training in tourism institutes with which I have some acquaintance in Macau, modeled after Portuguese examples. I hope this is helpful to you. Murrayt Lynn

Dear Mr Ribeiro, I am very pleased to write back to you about our experience with your company - we have received outstanding service which made sure that we made the most of our brief visit to Lisbon. We visited Lisbon for one day while on a Canary Islands tour and opted for one of your private tours instead of cruise organised excursions. We got off the ship earlier than expected and found the driver guide already there waiting for us with a welcoming smile. Our driver guide was Mr. Oliviera - we cannot praise him enough. He started off by going through with us the plan for the day and since we were totally new to the place we decided to follow his suggestions, and we were not disappointed. Mr. Oliviera is very knowledgeable about the area, the history, the traditions and just about any other subject we brought up. He did not just point out to buildings and tell us their names but gave us deep explanations about what we were seeing. Mr. Oliviera would take us to our next stop, explain or give us suggestions about what we will see and then allow us some private time - which was a perfect combination. We took the Lisbon, Cascias, Sintra and Pena tour and we did manage to cover a lot in 8 hours but without being rushed. In fact we also enjoyed a nice relaxed lunch in Sintra followed by delicious Queijadas and Travesseiros at the Mr. Oliviera's suggestion! I cannot speak highly enough about the services you provided for our trip to Sintra. We were 8 ladies on a short break to Lisbon. Victor our driver picked us up at the hotel and was absolutely charming. The vehicle was excellent and gave us plenty of room with excellent views. Victor was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information about Lisbon and the surrounding areas before we reached Sintra. He organised the tickets for us so that we did not have to queue and was waiting for us when we returned from an excellent tour around the Pena Palace. Despite the fact that we were running late ( our fault ) Victor took us back to Lisbon on the scenic route and was very entertaining. His English was excellent. Hi, The tour to Fatima was AMAZING! The tour guide was very well informed, well spoken (in several languages), and fun. We never would've found out the stories behind the places if we hadn't gone on this tour. Also, that lunch in Nazere was worth the trip alone; we haven't eaten like that before or since. What an amazing restaurant. The beach and the monasteries were breathtaking. I don't have any words to do justice to how amazing this tour was; everyone who visits Portugal should do it! The boat tour was great. The windows opened in the cabin (or you could go to the upper level), which made for some beautiful pictures. They also pointed out the statues/monuments and slowed down as we passed them to allow for picture taking, as well as to tell us the history of each. My wife and I were fortunate to have been able to spend three hours exploring The Baixa, Chiado, and Barrio Alto with Paolo Scheffer this past August. With Paolo, we learned the fascinating “history within the history” of Lisbon. He ignored the typical, “boilerplate” history found in travel guides and offered on mundane bus tours. he spoke to us from a scholarly perspective that very few can offer. We visited Portugal during July 2013. We loved Lisbon for its culture, history and wonderful hospitality. It is truly a beautiful city - a must see. We then travelled to the Algarve and along the south coast. The beaches are amazing and surpass most beaches in Europe. The people are lovely, friendly and very accommodating. Arriving very early in the morning the driver/tour guide was there to meet us so we didn’t have to go searching for him. Starting out early in the morning allowed us to visit some places in Lisbon which would have been very difficult to access later in the day. Also, our driver was very knowledgeable of what to see in the limited time we had to see the city, particularly the best spot to try the custard so popular in Lisbon. We enjoyed our all day tour to Fatima very much. The pick up and drop off at the hotel was very convenient, especially for tourists who are not familiar with the city. The guide was very friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable., The stops were historical and interesting. The lunch provided was very well done in a lovely seaside restaurant. (Nahzare) . We were a little disappointed in Obidos, however, we do realize that the tourist season had not really begun as yet, and the shops and restaurants were not fully operational . We appreciated the stop near Fatima to do some shopping to give us more time at the Basilica. The driver was diligent and knew Lisbon and surroundings well. The vehicle was clean and comfortable. My day trip to Gibraltar with Lisboasightseeing, whilst staying in Portugal, was well organised with the feeder coach picking me up outside my accommodation and ferrying me to the main coach, which turned up just after we arrived at the rendezvous spot. Although it was a long journey, 5 hours either way, sufficient stops were made for the passengers. We were well informed about entry to the Rock, and the additional tour of Gib' was well worth the money. The timings were about right and a return time to the bus was achievable. The drivers/attendants were friendly, spoke good English and were able to answer any questions that we had. We were then returned to the rendezvous spot to pick up the feeder mini-bus and I was delivered back to the door of my hotel. The buildings are magnifiscent and many have ceramic tile frontages adding to the splendor. He gave good historical information and he knew where to get good pictures. He also gave me good suggestions on where to go near my hotel, after the tour. I really appreciated that he made a stop at Pasteis de Belem, so we could buy the famous pastries. I think this should be a permanent part of the tour. I would highly recommend this tour. Half day Sintra tour: The tour was well organized. Pena Palace was a highlight of the trip, and Sintra is so beautiful. The tour guide was very informative. I wish I had more time to spend in Sintra, so I would recommend a full day tour instead of a half day tour if visitors have the time. Lynn Millare

Hi Antonio, I really loved the Sintra full day tour. So, my comments on that are below. The tour to Obidos and Fatima was good, but nothing could follow Sintra. My full day trip to Sintra was amazing. We started our day at Pena Palace. Our guide got us into the gates as they opened, onto the first shuttle bus up the hill to the palace and gave us a comprehensive tour. The exterior looked like it was out of a child's fairy tale, so beautiful. After, we had three hours on our own in the fantastic town of Sintra. The tour included a nice lunch at an outdoor cafe across from Sintra Palace. There was plenty of time to enjoy the picturesque town and go shopping at the wonderful stores, especially for porcelain. Then, we had a guided tour of the interior of Sintra Palace. While simple outside, the interior was amazing, especially a domed room full of exquisite tile murals. We finished the day driving along the coastal beaches, watching the sunset by dramatic cliffs. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone! Thanks for a great time in Lisbon! Bernadino was our Guide for our day in Lisbon. He was fantastic. Very fluent in English as he graduated high school in Hartford CT. He picked us up at our ship and we spent more than 9 hours with him as her drove us from one neighborhood and historic sight to the next. From the old historic city to the new city we experienced more in this one brief cruise ship stop that we would ever have had we used the on board tours and saved money doing it. Hello, Luis, Thank you! Our tour of Porto was one of the highlights of our entire cruise. Paulo was fabulous. He was waiting for us at the port as we disembarked the ship, and he immediately discussed our plans for the day. We originally had requested to do a tour of Porto and then drive up to the Douro Valley. Paulo told us that he would do whatever we would like, but he informed us that the drive to the Douro Valley was rather lengthy and that if we chose to do that, our visit to Porto would be more hurried. We asked what he would suggest and he told us that based on the weather, which was cloudy with intermittent rain, the drive and the view from the Douro Valley may not be as good, and there was just so much to see and absorb in Porto. He also mentioned that if we stayed in Porto, we could have a more relaxed visit and see more of the sights. So we decided to stay in Porto for the day, and we were so glad that we did. We had a wonderful tour of this beautiful city, and we were able to enjoy a delicious and leisurely lunch at a restaurant overlooking the river. The rain held off enough for us to enjoy a boat ride which was fun and afforded us some great views of the city. Paulo took us to visit a port cellar for a tour and tasting. He arranged for us to try white port which we had never seen in the U.S. It was great to have the flexibility to see the sights of interest to the folks in our group, and Paulo did a great job accommodating any special requests. We all had a fantastic time and were very appreciative of Paulo's suggestions and the itinerary for the day. We would definitely recommend your company to others! It made such a difference to visit the attractions in a small group as opposed to being herded through them via the ship excursions. I also felt the price of the private tour was very reasonable, especially in light of all that we received. Paulo was a very knowledgeable and informative guide. It was a terrific tour! It was a lovely tour and we covered many beautiful historic and social site. The tour lasted at least 8 hours and didn't finish until after to was very dark. In fact we enjoyed the tour during the evening very much. When asked about accommodations for having lunch, Mr. Mendes recommended a great restaurant in Sintra which we all thoroughly enjoyed. We were very pleased with the tour and so glad we decided on a private tour rather than taking one either on our own or with a larger group. Mr. Mendes was an excellent tour guide and contributed much more to our enjoyment of seeing and learning the history of Lisbon and the surrounding area than we could have achieved by other means. Luis, I did visit Lisbon over Labor Day weekend a few years ago. After deciding at the last minute to visit a friend living near A Corunna, Spain, the best connections available had a 8hrs layover in Lisbon. We took a private tour & having a van to ourselves ( 4 ) made it even better. We had an excellent driver /guide, Joaquin. He was extremely well mannered and added a fountain of knowledge to wherever he took us, at the same time allowing us time to meander & take in the sights, sounds, smells & local fare....Ilhavo with its quaint houses reminded me of some Dutch ones we had seen earlier this year, but these are so colorful. We then went to see the dunes & the cold rough Atlantic, to compare with the still salt pens & lagoons of Aveiro and its many canals. Not least to mention are the colorful moliceiros, that transported the salt, now tourists. Then on to Coimbra the university town vibrant with students in their black togas & the poor freshman being taken through their paces. And let's not forget the buildings with their colorful tiles. Of course we had innumerable 'pit' stops on the way for delicious coffees, & of course the yummy pastries. Not to forget the roasted pig...but that is worth a review on its own... Anzjan Balzan

My fiancé and I were extremely pleased with the tour of Lisbon and surrounding areas your firm provided for us during our cruise on Oceania in September 2013. Your tour covered much more of Lisbon and surrounding areas then the cruise line tour for less cost. Your tour director offered us advice on what to see but left it up to us as to where we went, in what sequence for how long. He constantly offered a narrative of what we were seeing and the history of the area. He also recommended a place to eat and helped us select items from the menu. I did a few independent tours which were arranged with Lisboa Sightseeing. Since my timeframe did not coincide with any of the regular tours, Lisboa Sightseeing suggested booking tours independently. They were extremely helpful and arranged for a few tours which my husband and I were very happy with. I think we took a 1/2 day tour of Porto, plus we saw various cities, all of which we enjoyed. The tour guides were knowledgeable and spoke several languages. They were very enthusiastic about showing everyone their beautiful country. The lunches which were arranged were delicious and everything was very well organized and timely. We were very satisfied with all of the arrangements and with the hotels. I enjoyed the tour very much, but what I remember most was how Lisboasightseeing went out of their way to make sure that I would be able to go. I was staying in a hotel in Faro and was told originally that the tour picks up clients there. However, later on I was told that no transportation was provided from Faro anymore. When it was discovered that one of the employees did tell me that I can be picked up in Faro,Lisboasightseeing kept their word and had a private car come all the way to Faro to get me. Dear Carlos Brito, We have two tours from Lisboa Sightseeing.One was in Porto: Minho full day-Braga , Guimarães and the other was Obidos, Alcobaça, Nazaré, Batalha, Fatima full day with lunch. On the first one the guide with private Mercedes mini bus had arrived just on time.There were no one else in the tour so my wife and I tasted the bus freely.The tour guide was quite nice,he showed all the interesting places in a very good order and on time. Dear Riu My sister and I visited Lisbon last March with our elderly father. He is 80 years old but very active and loves to travel to new places. Because of his age we always do a private tour and Lisbon was no exception. I ordered the SINTRA , CAISCAIS ,ESTORIL TOUR AND IT WAS FOR 5 HOURS. Our guide arrived on time and had excellent english and was very friendly and courteous. We had a beautiful air conditioned Mercedes. We went to the palace in Sintra first - high up in the mountains where the Portuguese Royalty escaped the hot summers. it was amazing. From there we headed to CAISCAIS over the mountains down to the coast and stopped off at the most Westerly point in mainland europe. The scenery was stunning - .We got our names on certificates stating that we had been at the most westerly point in europe which was a nice souviner of our trip. From there we headed to caiscais for lunch - Wow! our driver brought us to a famous seafood restaurant it was literally on the atlantic ocean, huge glass windows with the waves crashing beneath our table - quite stunning really- The food was fabulous I have never eaten so much LOBSTER in my life ! beautiful! after that we carried on to estoril a lovely place and then on lisbon where the driver went our of his way and brought us all around the city up and down winding streets until we arrived at the highest point in the city. I have never had a view quite like it. Finally we were dropped back to our hotel . It was a most memorable day and I REALLY mean it - The memories have flooded back to me now like it was yesterday and it was last year. Well done Lisboa sightseeing. We saw the best of what lisbon has to offer without any effort at all and we saw it in style!!!! TOP CLASS. We were absolutely delighted to see the smiling face of your driver standing beside a sparkling Mercedes at the cruise ship pier. The driver speed us through the outskirts of the city pointing out highlites and then drove us through stunning countryside to Fatima. First he took us to a religious superstore to buy souvenirs and then dropped us at the Fatima site. Following our visit he whisked us back to the pier with time to spare before our ships departure.
