Our tours were absolutely superb! We had two private group tours, one to Sintra/Nazare and the other to Fatima/Batalha/Alcobaca. Our bus was clean and comfortable, but our tour guide was the highlight of the experience. Carolina was friendly, helpful, patient with a large group including children, and obviously an expert on Portuguese history and culture. My wife and I were extremely pleased with our treatment and the tours provided by Lisboasightseeing. Over the course of four days, we were always picked up promptly from our hotel for our sightseeing tours and dropped off after the tours wherever it was convenient for us. When a scheduled group tour became unavailable on a Sunday, the tour company subcontracted with a professional and we were given a personal tour at no additional expense to us. We booked our tour to Fatima, Batalha, Nazare and Obidos on the internet before leaving the states. After confirming the tour on arrival in Lisbon, the pickup was made at our hotel right on time. The tour was excellent and the guide was proficient in the three languages of the tour participants. She made sure to provide equal time for each of the languages and was quite knowledgeable in the history of each of the locations. The transportation was quite comfortable. Dear Riu My sister and I visited Lisbon last March with our elderly father. He is 80 years old but very active and loves to travel to new places. Because of his age we always do a private tour and Lisbon was no exception. I ordered the SINTRA , CAISCAIS ,ESTORIL TOUR AND IT WAS FOR 5 HOURS. Our guide arrived on time and had excellent english and was very friendly and courteous.We had a beautiful air conditioned Mercedes. We went to the palace in Sintra first - high up in the mountains where the Portuguese Royalty escaped the hot summers. it was amazing. From there we headed to CAISCAIS over the mountains down to the coast and stopped off at the most Westerly point in mainland europe. The scenery was stunning - .We got our names on certificates stating that we had been at the most westerly point in europe which was a nice souviner of our trip. From there we headed to caiscais for lunch - Wow! our driver brought us to a famous seafood restaurant it was literally on the atlantic ocean, huge glass windows with the waves crashing beneath our table - quite stunning really- The food was fabulous I have never eaten so much LOBSTER in my life ! beautiful! after that we carried on to estoril a lovely place and then on lisbon where the driver went our of his way and brought us all around the city up and down winding streets until we arrived at the highest point in the city. I have never had a view quite like it. Finally we were dropped back to our hotel . It was a most memorable day and I REALLY mean it - The memories have flooded back to me now like it was yesterday and it was last year. Well done Lisboa sightseeing. We saw the best of what lisbon has to offer without any effort at all and we saw it in style!!!! TOP CLASS. My wife and I enjoyed all three tours very much. Our favorite tour was the one to Sintra, Pena, Cascais and Estoril. The National Palace was beautiful and restaurant was excellent. The full day tour to Obidos, Fatima and Nazaire was also very good, the guide was excellent as was the food at lunch. The tour guide was very good and she made the best of it. En nuestro caso todo fue perfecto; contratamos en Mayo una excursión de 1/2 día a Sintra y una de 1 día en Lisboa para 8 personas en una mini van. El conductor nos dió explicaciones con mucho detalle y nos hizo las visitas muy interesantes. En la visita a Sintra, a la vuelta paró además en Cascais (que no estaba previsto) y volvió por la costa que es mucho más bonito que por la autopista. Como ya he dicho, satisfacción total. We were absolutely delighted to see the smiling face of your driver standing beside a sparkling Mercedes at the cruise ship pier. The driver speed us through the outskirts of the city pointing out highlites and then drove us through stunning countryside to Fatima. First he took us to a religious superstore to buy souvenirs and then dropped us at the Fatima site. Following our visit he whisked us back to the pier with time to spare before our ships departure. Lisboasightseeing made our trip to Fatima possible in a friendly professional and first class way. I would not hesitate to refer other Canadians to Lisboasightseeing.
