Arrive in Bragança around 09:30 AM. 🏰 09:30 – 12:00 | Explore Bragança Overview: Bragança is a medieval city near Spain, rich in history, stone streets, and mountain views. Must-sees: Bragança Castle (Castelo de Bragança): 12th-century fortress with panoramic views and a small military museum. Domus Municipalis: unique 15th-century stone building (Portugal’s only surviving Romanesque civic hall). Citadel (Cidadela): a charming walled village still inhabited — walk through its gates and narrow alleys. Igreja de Santa Maria & Museu Ibérico da Máscara e do Traje: for regional culture and Carnival traditions. ☕ Coffee stop: Café Lusitano (inside the citadel walls). 🧀 Try a local snack: queijo transmontano or alheiras de Bragança (smoked sausage).


🚗 12:00 – 13:30 | Drive from Bragança to Murça Distance: ~95 km (~1h30 via IP2 and N15, scenic mountain road through olive groves and vineyards). Arrive around 13:30 PM. 🍷 13:30 – 15:00 | Lunch & Explore Murça Overview: A peaceful Douro-region town known for its olive oil, wine, and the legend of the “Porca de Murça.” Things to see: Porca de Murça: ancient granite statue symbolizing fertility and local legend — right in the main square. Igreja Matriz de Murça and the Medieval Pillory (Pelourinho). Stroll through the small historic center with its stone houses and Douro charm. Lunch suggestions 🍽️: Restaurante Jordão — homestyle Transmontano food. Tasca da Rita — small, friendly, excellent value. Try local Murça DOC wines and cabrito assado (roast goat).


🚗 15:00 – 15:45 | Drive from Murça to Vila Real Distance: ~45 km / ~40 min (via A4). 🌆 15:45 – 18:00 | Explore Vila Real Overview: Elegant capital of the Trás-os-Montes region, surrounded by mountains and the Douro Valley. Must-sees: Mateus Palace (Solar de Mateus): Baroque mansion with mirrored ponds and formal gardens — famous on Mateus Rosé wine bottles. Historic Center: visit Sé de Vila Real (Cathedral) and Rua Direita with traditional shops. Miradouro de São Leonardo de Galafura (optional detour): 20 km away — one of the Douro’s most stunning viewpoints (plan only if time allows). ☕ Afternoon break: Pastelaria Gomes — excellent pastries. 🍷 Optional: short visit to a local wine estate near Vila Real if you have extra time (e.g., Quinta do Vallado). 🚗 18:00 – 20:30 | Drive Back to Porto.

Day tours
The ticket for a tour entitles the holder to the transportation, entrance fees, services specified in the program and an official guide interpreter. Extras are not included. Children under 4 years of age are carried free (meals to be paid by the adult in charge) between 5 and 10 years of age will pay 50% of the normal price. If the number of participants falls below 7 passengers the tour operator reserves the right to use minibuses or private car.

Private tours
Private tours with guide/drivers (4 and 8 seater vehicles) don't include entrances and guide services inside monuments, meals or other extras. Unless required by clients, these private tours with guide/drivers will not have an official guide interpreter but an official guide driver (explains monuments inside the vehicle and suggests free time for visits). Private tours with guide interpreters (in buses with guide interpreter + driver) don't include entrance fees, meals or other extras but may include guide services inside monuments. According to Portuguese law, guided services inside monuments or on any other tourist attraction can only be provided by official guide interpreters.

Cancellation fees
Day tours and private tours: up to 3 labour days before departure - 25% of total price afterwards no refund is granted. Long and short range tours: up to 7 labour days before departure: 25% of total price afterwards no refund is granted. In the case of No Shows on services or on tours, starting at the airport, harbour, train or bus station, hotel, etc, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

General conditions
Insurance required by Portuguese Law. All tours are subject to alteration without notice. National Monuments close on public holidays and special occasions without notice. Luggage is carried at client's risk, these being advised to watch the loading and unloading of their belongings.

Complaints
These will only be accepted in written once directed to the agency where the reservation and payment were done, within the limit of 15 days after the service has been rendered. In agreement with the EC directive, complaints can only be accepted after details have been communicated to the respective suppliers (hotels, guides, local agents, etc.), during the trip or stay, demanding the respective documents to confirm the incident.
